Sizing and Fit

What sizes do Slowix dresses come in?

We carry sizes XS through 3XL, based on bust, waist, and hip measurements in inches. Many of our party and occasion dresses have structured bodices or embellishments and may fit more snugly than everyday clothing. Always check the size chart on the individual product page before ordering.

If your measurements fall between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit through a full evening. See our Size Guide and Fit Help for the full chart and measuring instructions.

How do I measure myself for a dress?

Use a soft measuring tape over fitted clothing and measure:

  • Bust — around the fullest part of your chest
  • Waist — around the narrowest part of your torso
  • Hips — around the fullest part of your hips

Compare your measurements to the size chart on the product page. Still unsure? Email support@slowix.com with your measurements and the product name and we will recommend the right size for that specific style.

Do Slowix dresses run true to size?

It depends on the style. Dresses with structured bodices, boning, or non-stretch fabric tend to fit more snugly than everyday clothing. Styles with stretch fabric typically fit as expected.

We include fabric and stretch details in every product description. When in doubt, size up — it is easier to take in a dress slightly than to wear one that is too tight through a full evening.

What dress should I wear as a wedding guest?

Look for styles that are polished without overshadowing the occasion. Midi lengths in satin, chiffon, or lace work across most settings — from outdoor ceremonies to indoor receptions. Avoid white and ivory. Many pieces in our Wedding Guest collection are popular choices.

What occasions are Slowix dresses suitable for?

We select styles that are comfortable through a full evening, appropriate for the setting, and versatile enough to wear more than once.

What is the fit like for bodycon and sequin styles?

Bodycon and sequin dresses are designed to sit close to the body. Sequin and embellished fabrics have less stretch than plain fabrics in the same cut. If you are between sizes in these styles, size up. The dress should feel snug but you should be able to sit, dance, and move without pulling at the seams.

What if my bust and hips are different sizes on the chart?

Size to your larger measurement. A dress that fits at the bust and hips can be taken in at the waist by a tailor if needed. A dress that is too small at the bust or hips cannot be let out.

Will the dress length work for my height?

Mini dresses are designed to fall above the knee. Midi dresses typically fall below the knee to mid-calf. Maxi and floor-length styles are sized for an average height of 5 foot 4 inches to 5 foot 7 inches. If you are significantly taller or shorter, email us with the product name and your height and we can give you a length estimate for that specific style.


Orders and Payment

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing your order. Email support@slowix.com with your order number as soon as possible.

If the order has not shipped yet, we can cancel or modify it and issue a full refund. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be changed or cancelled. If the item has already arrived, you may follow our return process.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. All transactions are processed through PayPal on a secure SSL-encrypted page. Slowix does not store or access your card number, bank account details, or PayPal login credentials at any point. PayPal is a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment through PayPal only. You do not need a PayPal account to complete your purchase. PayPal offers a guest checkout option at the payment step, which allows you to pay with a credit or debit card — including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover — without logging in or creating an account.

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD). Sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm payment.

Why does my bank statement show PayPal instead of Slowix?

Because payment is processed through PayPal, the charge on your bank or card statement will appear as PayPal rather than Slowix. This is normal. Your PayPal receipt and our order confirmation email both serve as proof of purchase.

I was charged but did not receive an order confirmation. What do I do?

Check your spam folder first. If the confirmation is not there, email us at support@slowix.com with your PayPal transaction ID and we will look up your order.


Shipping and Delivery

How long does shipping take?

  • Order processing: 1 to 3 business days after payment is confirmed
  • Shipping transit: 7 to 9 business days after dispatch
  • Total estimated delivery: 8 to 12 business days from order date

If you have an event coming up, we recommend ordering at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance to allow time for processing, transit, and any adjustments you may need.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Orders over $139 after discounts and before tax qualify for free standard shipping. For orders under $139, standard shipping is $12.00. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you complete payment.

Free shipping applies to the 48 contiguous U.S. states only. It does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, or military addresses.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details. Tracking updates may take 24 to 48 hours to appear after the carrier picks up your package.

If you have not received a shipping confirmation after 4 business days, check your spam folder first. If it is not there, email support@slowix.com with your order number.

What if my package has not been updated in days?

Email us at support@slowix.com with your order number. We will work with the carrier on your behalf and help find a resolution.

Important: Do not ship any package back without contacting us first. Packages sent without prior approval and lost in transit cannot be refunded.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the 48 contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. military addresses, or international destinations. International shipping may be available in the future — join our email list to be notified.


Returns and Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed
  • In original condition with all tags attached
  • Free of makeup, perfume, deodorant, stains, and odors

Final sale items and custom or made-to-order dresses are not eligible for return unless a confirmed manufacturing defect exists. See our Return and Refund Policy for full details.

How do I start a return?

Email support@slowix.com with your order number, photos of the item, and your reason for return. We will respond within 1 to 2 business days with the correct return warehouse address and instructions.

Do not ship any package back without contacting us first. Packages sent to the wrong address without prior approval cannot be refunded if lost in transit.

Who pays for return shipping?

We cover return shipping if the item arrived damaged, defective, or we sent the wrong item. Send us photos and your carrier receipt and we will reimburse your return shipping cost along with the full order refund.

You cover return shipping if the return is for personal reasons — changed your mind, preferred a different style, or no longer need the item. The original outbound shipping fee is also non-refundable in this case.

How long does a refund take?

Once we receive your return, we inspect it within 1 to 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original PayPal payment method and typically appear within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed. If your refund has not appeared after 5 business days, check with your bank first. If the issue persists, contact us at support@slowix.com.

Do you offer exchanges?

We do not offer direct exchanges. Submit a return request for the original item and place a new order for the correct one. This is the fastest way to get what you need, especially if stock is limited.

We are a retailer, not a manufacturer. We work with suppliers, evaluate every style for fit and real-life wearability, and carry only what we feel confident recommending for an actual event.
